GoTriangle is researching a GTFS-integrated rider alert system for four regional transit agencies. - Government buyer: Research Triangle Regional Public Transportation Authority, doing business as GoTriangle; serves GoTriangle, GoCary, GoDurham, and GoRaleigh. No specific purchasing office is identified. - Requested solution: A commercially available system to create and distribute rider alerts connected to agency routes and GTFS data. - Support the agencies’ different GTFS structures: Avail, TripSpark (used by two agencies), and Clever. - Create alerts in standard HTML; send email to subscribers using a connected database or standard CSV; notify transit applications; and embed alerts on WordPress websites. - SMS is desirable but not required. - Named vendors and platforms: Avail, TripSpark, Clever, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Transit App, UMO, and WordPress. These are existing systems, destinations, or platforms named in the information; no OEM for the requested alert system is identified. - Quantities and models: No quantities, part numbers, or specific product models are provided. - Opportunity context: This is a non-binding RFI for market research, not a purchase commitment. Respondents are asked for capabilities, public-sector experience, security certifications, implementation approach and timeline, licensing and cost structures, and recommendations on architecture and emerging AI capabilities.
Description
GoTriangle is gathering information on commercially available GTFS rider alert systems for four agencies: GoTriangle, GoCary, GoDurham, and GoRaleigh. The agency is exploring solutions that integrate the agencies’ different GTFS structures into a single static and/or real-time data integration. The system should support alerts by agency and route, email subscribers, notify transit applications, and embed on websites; SMS functionality is a plus but is not currently required. This RFI is for market research only and is not a solicitation or commitment to purchase.
