The City of Hoboken is seeking qualified attorneys to provide alternate Municipal Public Defender services.
Description
The City of Hoboken is requesting proposals from qualified attorneys to provide legal representation as Municipal Public Defender under the stated specifications or a City-approved equivalent and N.J.S.A. 2B:24-4. The City may qualify multiple Municipal Public Defenders, who will serve as per diem, non-employees and receive $450 per court session; each session averages two to five hours. Public defenders must appear in person unless otherwise directed by the court officer, and a $150 fee for a court briefing package may be invoiced with prior written approval. The contract term is January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027, and sealed proposals are due December 8, 2026 at 11:30 AM prevailing time.
