NARA Presidential Libraries and Museums Artifact Conservation Vendor Pool

NARA is building a three-year vendor pool for conservation work across its Presidential Libraries and Museums, with project coordination supporting the initiative. - Government buyer: National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Office of the Chief Acquisition Officer, for the Office of the Presidential Libraries (P) and Research Services, Preservation Programs (RPX). - Scope: The initiative anticipates more than 60 projects involving over 2,600 artifacts across 16 Presidential Libraries and Museums. Admission to the pool does not guarantee work or funding; individual projects will establish their own scope, quantities, schedules, and pricing through later competitions. - Services requested: Condition assessments and treatment proposals; conservation of objects, furniture, sculpture, paintings, textiles, and works on paper; treatment documentation; secure packing, crating, transport, and transit insurance; storage mounts and housings; and project coordination. - Notable requirements: Treatment documentation includes written and photographic records before, during, and after treatment. Travel and per diem apply to on-site work and are reimbursed under the Federal Travel Regulation, subject to a not-to-exceed amount. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs or vendors are named. Description

The National Archives and Records Administration seeks a Project Coordinator to support the activities of a project team guiding a 3-year initiative to undertake multiple conservation projects at NARA’s Presidential Libraries and Museums.
