Correctional Service of Canada’s CORCAN Ontario Region is seeking on-demand rental of up to 50 highway trailers for its Ontario operations. - Government buyer: Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), CORCAN, Ontario Region. - Requirement: Monthly rental, as requested, of up to 50 tandem-axle, 53-foot by 102-inch, non-refrigerated dry-freight van trailers with air-ride suspension. - Destinations: National Warehouse/Storage and Distribution Centre and Bath, Collins Bay, Joyceville, Millhaven, and Warkworth institutions in Ontario. - Included requirements: Unlimited kilometres, licensing and permits, normal-wear maintenance including tire repair or replacement, annual safety inspections and documentation, and delivery within two business days of a call-up. If repairs take a trailer out of service for more than 24 hours, a licensed, comparable replacement must be provided within two business days. - OEMs and vendors: No trailer manufacturer, OEM, or supplier is named in the opportunity. - Supplier capability: Bidders must demonstrate relevant rental experience and access to a fleet capable of supplying up to 50 trailers.

Description

The Correctional Service of Canada’s CORCAN Ontario Region is seeking monthly rental of up to 50 53-foot highway trailers on an as-requested basis for its National Warehouse Distribution Centre and five institutions in Ontario. The supplier must deliver trailers within two business days of each call-up, provide licensing and permits, maintain and repair the trailers, and supply a same-type replacement within two business days if repairs keep a trailer out of service for more than 24 hours. Rental includes unlimited kilometres, annual safety inspections and inspection documentation; the trailers are primarily for dry storage. The standing offer runs from award through January 31, 2028, with options for two additional one-year periods.
