Letterkenny Army Depot Cold Spray System Maintenance, Calibration, Training, and Repair Services

The U.S. Army is seeking five years of OEM support for Letterkenny Army Depot’s VRC Metal Systems cold spray equipment. - Government buyer: Department of the Army, Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD), through the W6QK Letterkenny Army Depot Contracting Office under Army Contracting Command–Rock Island Arsenal. - OEM: VRC Metal Systems, LLC; the requirement describes the systems’ service as proprietary to this OEM and identifies the opportunity as sole-source. - Requested services and estimated CLIN quantities: - Preventative maintenance, including calibration and technical telephone support: 19 LOT. The attachment estimates three assets in the first year and four in subsequent years for annual maintenance and calibration. - Operator and maintenance training: 2 LOT, with annual training anticipated during the first two years; additional training may be ordered. - Travel: 10 LOT for authorized travel associated with performance. - Over-and-above services: 5 LOT for authorized, unscheduled repairs and related parts. - Additional service scope: Annual on-site calibration and annual preventative maintenance for the cold spray systems; operator and maintenance training; emergency and non-emergency troubleshooting and repairs; technical phone support; and OEM parts for maintenance and repairs. The PWS separately lists annual calibration and annual preventative maintenance at 2 each, without clarifying their relationship to the CLIN estimates. - Notable requirements: Provide calibration certificates and written service reports; return emergency service calls and provide technical phone support within 24 hours. If an emergency cannot be resolved remotely, coordinate an on-site technician within one week of a formal request under an authorized over-and-above task order. Repairs beyond standard maintenance require written authorization. The Government may obtain maintenance parts through other advantageous means.
