Argonne National Laboratory On-Demand General Construction and Facility Services

UChicago Argonne, LLC, which operates Argonne National Laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking contractors for on-demand construction and facility work. - Buyer: UChicago Argonne, LLC (Argonne National Laboratory), U.S. Department of Energy; Procurement Department, Financial Management and Procurement Services. - Requested service: Site-wide general construction, including modifications, repairs, construction, alterations, and installations for facilities, buildings, infrastructure, and systems. - Work may cover architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical disciplines at Argonne sites and other directed sites in Will and DuPage Counties, Illinois. - Contractors provide labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, qualified supervision, and incidentals unless otherwise specified. - Contracting approach: Argonne intends to establish two blanket purchase agreements (BPAs); individual work will be issued as firm-fixed-price task orders. Task orders are generally not expected to exceed $350,000, and approximately 50 orders per year is an estimate, not a commitment. - Period: One-year base period with two one-year options. - OEMs and named suppliers: None identified; no product part numbers or product quantities are specified. - Potential competitors include Walsh Construction Company, Turner Construction Company, Gilbane Building Company, and Pepper Construction Company.

Description

The Contractor will provide modifications, repairs, construction, alterations and installations to the facilities, building and infrastructure components and systems on an on-demand basis site wide throughout Argonne National Laboratory (“ANL” or “Laboratory”), or other ANL directed sites within Will and DuPage Counties.  The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, plant and equipment (except materials or equipment that may be specified to be furnished by Argonne National Laboratory) necessary to perform all work.
