The Government of New Brunswick is seeking Phase 2 space-allocation construction work at the DTI Bathurst District Garage in Allardville. - Buyer and project - Government of New Brunswick, through SNB Buildings Construction; project location is the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) Bathurst District Garage in Allardville. - Construction scope - Building work includes existing conditions, concrete, masonry, wood and composite materials, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, furnishings, and related mechanical work. - Repair an interior trench with cast-in-place concrete meeting the stated strength, aggregate, exposure, air-content, and water-cement requirements. - Install a modified-bituminous roofing system, including membrane, insulation, flashing, and mechanical curb-cap work. Select one specified manufacturer system and do not mix products between systems. - Remove the existing roof exhaust fan and metal flashing and cap the curb. Remove the exterior hose bibb and piping, and the obsolete exterior propane solenoid valve and piping; close the resulting wall openings. - Named OEMs, vendors, and acceptable products - Valto: Glasbord fiberglass-reinforced panels (FRP), installed to the underside of the ceiling at 2590 mm. - ROCKWOOL: Safe’n’Sound interior-partition insulation. - Owens Corning: QuietZone interior-partition insulation. - Armstrong: 1754 Fine Fissured High NRC acoustic ceiling tiles, in 2-by-4 format. - Maxxmar, Sol Shade, and ELITE PRO: acceptable roller-shade options; ELITE PRO Z-300 is specified as an option. - IKO: M.V.P. Sand vapour retarder and Armourbond Flash Sand membrane are listed roofing products. - Soprema: Sopra Vapr vapour retarder and Sopraply Stick Duo membrane are listed roofing products. - Notable technical requirements - Wall framing includes 20-gauge metal studs; acoustic ceiling tiles are 2-by-4; FRP is installed to the specified ceiling underside. - Provide roller shades at the three first-floor windows on the east elevation. - The sheet vapour retarder is specified as 0.15 mm polyethylene meeting the referenced standards and limits for vapour permeance and flame spread. - Roofing work includes removal of the existing roof exhaust fan and installation of the specified curb cap.
