Shawnee County’s Solid Waste department is seeking one new 2027 heavy-duty pickup configured for county operations. - Buyer: Shawnee County, Solid Waste department, Kansas; delivery destination is the Shawnee County Maintenance Shop in Topeka. - Procurement: One new, unused 3/4-ton, four-wheel-drive extended-cab gasoline pickup with an 8-foot utility/service body or 8-foot pickup bed. No vehicle OEM, make, model, vendor, or part number is specified; bidders must identify their proposed manufacturer and equipment. - Vehicle requirements: Fuel-injected gasoline V8 of at least 6.0 liters, E-85 compatibility, automatic transmission with overdrive, minimum 5,500-lb GVWR, heavy-duty frame and components, and required safety, comfort, and towing equipment. Notable equipment includes a shift-on-the-fly transfer case, transmission and transfer-case guards, integrated trailer brake controller, 7-way connector, front tow hooks, ABS, factory air conditioning, and stainless-steel nerf bars. - Utility-body option: Specified 96-inch-long steel service body with reinforced compartments, shelving, protected recessed lighting, heavy-duty bumper, and Class V receiver hitch with reducer sleeve and 7-way plug.
