The New Smyrna Beach Utilities Commission is seeking a contractor to inspect, test, and maintain its 25-generator fleet. - Government buyer: City of New Smyrna Beach Utilities Commission, Procurement Department, Florida. - OEMs/brands: Caterpillar, Onan, Kato ENG, Baldor, Generac, Cummins, Kohler, and Blue Star. The fleet includes Caterpillar 600 kW and 1,000 kW units; Onan 60, 125, 175, 200, and 750 kW units; Kato ENG 750 kW; Baldor 180 kW; two Generac 100 kW units and one 275 kW unit; Cummins 60, 150, and 250 kW units; Kohler 1,600 kW; and Blue Star portable units consisting of eight 150 kW units and one 300 kW unit. - Requested services: For each of the 25 generators, provide a documented inspection, annual two-hour load-bank test, ATS inspection, annual infrared scan, and valve adjustment as needed. Provide service-call hourly, minimum-call, and emergency hourly rates; emergency calls include a 1.5-hour show-up charge. - Notable requirements: Inspect the complete generator assembly, ATS cabinets, contactors, and position switches; scan generator main circuit breakers and service-entry breakers; and provide written reports with pictures and video in two hard copies and electronic PDF. When valves are adjusted, report before-and-after valve lash and compression. Contractors must have access to proprietary operating software for troubleshooting and be able to respond to outages within one hour of the initial call. Future generator additions are to be priced based on an existing similar generator. - Potential contract term: One initial year, with three additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement.
