The U.S. Air Force at Kirtland Air Force Base is procuring and installing high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) industrial ceiling fans to improve environmental control across five facilities. - Government Buyer: - United States Air Force, 58 AMXS and 377th Mission Support Group, Kirtland Air Force Base - OEMs and Vendors: - Big Ass Fans (manufacturer of Pivot 2 and Powerfoil X4 models) - Products Requested: - 48 HVLS industrial ceiling fans total - 42 Pivot 2, 6-ft directional fans for Buildings 1000, 1001, and 1002 - 1 Powerfoil X4, 24-ft ceiling fan with standard controller for Building 381 - 5 Powerfoil X4, 14-ft ceiling fans with BAFCon multi-fan controller for Building 336 - Services Requested: - Installation of all fan systems, including structural mounting, electrical wiring, safety devices, operational testing, and operator training - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with federal, state, and local codes - One-year workmanship and manufacturer warranty - Completion required within 60 days of contract award - Installation at multiple facilities with specific electrical and mounting configurations - Small business set-aside; answers to vendor questions provided in Q&A attachment

AMENDMENT 02 (21 Sep 2026): Answers to received questions have been answered by the end-user subject matter experts on the "Q and A - Answers Round 1" attachment to this posting. 

AMENDMENT 01 (21 Sep 2026): The Statement of Work has been amended to drop Bldg 979 off this requirement. The two fans + installation in that specific building are no longer required. Please view the updated SOW before finalizing quotes.

Delivery and installation of forty-eight (48) industrial air-circulation fan units in support of environmental control requirements at five (5) MXG facilities located at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. Please consult the Statement of Work for full, in-depth details.

REQUIRED TEXT

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.

Solicitation number FA9401-26-Q-0042 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) for fan systems and installation services in order to provide HVLS fans to the customer. 

This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.
