NASA Kennedy Space Center is soliciting a turnkey, weather-rated compressed air injection system for the Environmental Control System at Launch Complex 39B. - Government Buyer: - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - John F. Kennedy Space Center, Engineering Directorate - Office of Procurement - Products Requested: - Compressed Air Injection System (1 unit) - Must supply clean, dry compressed air at minimum 55 lbm/min and 70 psig - N+1 redundancy required for compressors, dryers, filters, and control systems - Air receivers must fit within 175"x95"x100" enclosure - Enclosure must be crane-liftable, corrosion-resistant per NASA-STD-5008, and weather-rated - Includes hardware for remote control and carbon monoxide monitoring - BAIR Enclosure (1 unit) - Services Requested: - On-site activation after delivery and power connection - Up to 4 hours of on-site training for start-up, shutdown, rotations, and maintenance - One-year warranty from equipment start-up - Unique Requirements: - System must survive launch-induced environmental conditions (not required to operate during launch) - N+1 redundancy for critical components - Compliance with NASA-STD-5008 for corrosion resistance - Prohibition on collaboration with China or Chinese-owned companies (except for commercial/non-developmental items) - Documentation and training included - No specific OEMs or part numbers are mentioned; procurement is for commercial items. - Delivery required by February 28, 2027.

Combined Synopsis/Solicitation

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under solicitation number 80KSC026Q0013 for the delivery and activation of a fully fabricated, ready-to-connect compressed-air system to generate clean, dry air for use at LC-39B, Kennedy Space Center, FL. This equipment shall survive a launch induced environment but is not expected to operate during launch.  The attached Statement of Work (SOW) includes the requirements for performance of this scope.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.  Offers for the items(s) described above are due by 10 am EST on October 2, 2026 to Joshua Giraud at Joshua.Giraud@nasa.gov and must include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative.
