Description
The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) plans to award a cooperative agreement to the National Association of State Workforce Agencies' Center for Employment Security Education and Research (NASWA/CESER) for the continued operation of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Integrity Center of Excellence. The center's mission is to provide training and technical assistance to states to improve UI program integrity, develop and disseminate resources, and promote innovative tools to prevent improper payments and enhance fraud prevention. The funding is provided under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026, with a total amount of $9,000,000 for FY 2026. NASWA/CESER has operated the UI Integrity Center since FY 2017 and is uniquely qualified to support state workforce agencies in UI program integrity efforts.
