TSEA Energy Establishes Manufacturing Facility in North Carolina
March 24, 2026
TSEA Energy, a Brazilian manufacturer of energy equipment, is investing $25 million to open its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. This facility will produce voltage regulators critical to modernizing the U.S. electrical grid, supporting utilities in managing rising electricity demand and integrating distributed energy resources. The project is expected to create approximately 160 jobs and strengthen the domestic supply chain for grid infrastructure components. North Carolina state officials emphasize the region's skilled workforce and business-friendly environment as key factors in attracting this investment.
- This investment signals growing opportunities for suppliers and contractors involved in grid modernization and energy equipment manufacturing within the U.S.
- Procurement professionals should note the emphasis on domestic production capabilities to support federal and state energy infrastructure initiatives.
- Companies providing manufacturing services, workforce training, or supply chain logistics in North Carolina may find new partnership or subcontracting opportunities.
- The facility's focus on voltage regulators aligns with increasing utility demand for advanced grid management technologies, indicating potential future procurements in related equipment and services.
The agreement with the State of North Carolina represents an important step in our international expansion and reinforces our long-term commitment to the U.S. market. We also value the strength of the countryโs skilled manufacturing workforce and the opportunity to support the modernization of the U.S. power grid.
