The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a portable high-pressure steam boiler package and three years of rental and support at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility. - Government buyer: California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Contracts Management Branch; for Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or vendors are named in the opportunity. - Equipment requested: One portable boiler package unit (PBPU), rated at least 600 HP, with a low-NOx burner and associated equipment for high-pressure steam generation. - Boiler: ASME three-pass dry-back packaged firetube; minimum 20,000 lb./hr. steam capacity and maximum steam pressure of 150 PSIG. - Includes natural-gas firing, deaerator, feedwater and condensate-return equipment, pumps, blowdown and chemical-feed systems, water softener, controls, gas regulator and meter, piping, permits, and operating manuals. - Must be suitable for outdoor operation on a mobile trailer or appropriately designed platform and connect to the existing hot-water loop. - Services and quantities: Rental of all components for 36 months; monthly preventative maintenance for 36 months; one installation event; one onsite training event of at least four hours; and one equipment-removal event. Installation and connection must be completed within 36 hours; removal is required within eight hours after the agreement ends. Scope also includes necessary repairs and adjustments. - Notable requirements: Meet San Diego Air Pollution Control District limits for NOx and CO emissions, or the applicable district limits; electrical service must be 480 VAC, three-phase, 150–225 amps. California contractor licensing types B and C-04 and CDCR’s 25% small-business participation requirement are specified.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting bids for installation and rental services for a Portable Boiler Package Unit at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.
