Argonne National Laboratory procurement of 7,000 MWh of eligible renewable energy credits

Argonne National Laboratory is seeking Green-e-certified renewable energy credits to offset its FY 2026 electricity use. - Buyer: UChicago Argonne, LLC, operator of Argonne National Laboratory; the notice identifies the Department of Energy as the parent agency. Contact: Molly Hunter. - Requested product: One bundle totaling 7,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of unbundled Renewable Energy Credits (RECs); no part number is specified. - Eligibility and quality: Credits must be from eligible U.S. renewable facilities that meet the specified in-service and generation-window requirements. Description

Argonne intends to purchase 7,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of RECs to offset electricity consumption for FY 2026 (October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026). RECs must be Green-E Certified. Generator must have been placed in service and RECs generated on or after October 1, 2010. RECs must be delivered by November 19, 2027 electronically via e-mail.
