NOAA is seeking a contractor to keep its Milwaukee-area Weather Forecast Office accessible during winter weather. - Government buyer: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Western Acquisitions Division. - Location and scope: Snow removal at the NWS Weather Forecast Office in Dousman, Wisconsin, including plowing, sidewalk clearing, parking-lot salting, and sidewalk salting. Contractor provides labor, equipment, and materials. - Estimated seasonal workload: 25 hours of snow plowing, 15 hours of sidewalk clearing, 25 hours of parking-lot salting, and 15 hours of sidewalk salting per year. - Service requirements: Work is triggered by snowfall of 2 inches or more, or by request. Respond within 2 hours and prevent snow accumulation from exceeding 4 inches. Treat surfaces with ice-melting granules that will not harm vegetation or damage concrete or asphalt. - Contract structure: One base year and four 12-month option years; work is expected during the October-through-May snow season.
