NUWC Division Newport is seeking a contractor to insulate exposed piping in Building 114, Rhode Island. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy; Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). - Facilities Maintenance and Operations Branch, Code 1021; contracting office, Code 02. - Work requested: Furnish labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, quality control, and construction submittals to insulate exposed, uninsulated Schedule 80 EAFW PVC and copper piping in Building B114. - Estimated materials: 381 linear feet of 1-inch-thick elastomeric insulation, 94 fittings, and 22 hangers. Field measurements must be verified before fabrication and installation. - Key requirements: Prevent condensation; seal insulation joints; provide hanger inserts and shields; follow UFGS 23 07 00 and UFC 3-410-01. A Davis-Bacon wage determination and site-visit instructions are included with the solicitation materials. - OEMs and vendors: No manufacturers, OEMs, or commercial vendors are named in the provided materials. - Performance: Complete the work within 60 calendar days after contract award.
