Refugee Resettlement Capacity Assessments and Initiative Support

HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement plans to fund the next phase of a nationwide initiative to strengthen refugee resettlement capacity.

Description

ACF’s Office of Refugee Resettlement intends to award a single-source cooperative agreement of up to $3,500,000 to the Welcoming Initiative for Newcomers (WIN) for the next phase of the State Capacity and Readiness Initiative. Work includes updating assessments of state and local resettlement capacity, developing training and technical assistance resources, supporting pilot implementation and learning, and engaging states outside the pilots. The project will identify service and capacity gaps and recommend further federal assistance to support a state-centered refugee resettlement model. The proposed period of performance is November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027.
