Cumberland County’s Department of Social Services is seeking armed security officer services for two county facilities in North Carolina. - Government buyer: Cumberland County Department of Social Services, Cumberland County, North Carolina. - Services requested: Armed security coverage for three officers at the DSS main location on Ramsey Street, including one supervisor, and one officer at the Family Resource Center in Spring Lake. - Duties: Patrols, entry screening and metal-detector monitoring, premises and personnel security, incident reporting, customer assistance, escorts, emergency response, and monitoring meetings with potentially volatile customers. - Staffing and equipment: Officers are scheduled for 40 hours per week. Provide at least one security wand at each location and a standard sedan or compact SUV, preferably marked, for the DSS main location. Overtime and disaster-response coverage are required; hours may change during disaster response. - Term: One-year initial term with up to two additional one-year renewals. Work is to begin within one business day of the contract’s effective date. No service is required on County-observed holidays. - OEMs, vendors, and products: No OEMs, contractors, product brands, or part numbers are named; no products are being purchased separately.
