USNS MERCY Model DC-8600CTS Rescue Boat Davit Overhaul

The Department of the Navy plans an overhaul of the rescue boat davit aboard USNS MERCY. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Command BATS. - OEM and intended provider: Allied Systems Company, identified as the sole-source OEM service and parts provider for rescue boat davits on MSC T-AH-class ships. - Requested service: Overhaul the Model DC-8600CTS rescue boat davit aboard USNS MERCY (T-AH 19); quantity and part number are not specified. - Notable requirement: The procurement is announced as an intent to award sole-source, not as a request for quotes. Description

The Government intends to make a sole-source award to Allied Systems Company for the overhaul of USNS MERCY (T-AH 19) Rescue Boat Davit (Model DC-8600CTS). Allied Systems Company is the sole-source OEM service and parts provider for the rescue boat davits installed on the Military Sealift Command’s T-AH Class of ships. 

This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
