The Army is soliciting a sole-source upgrade for Electrical Pit Furnace #37 at Rock Island Arsenal. - Buyer and solicitation: Army Contracting Command–Rock Island; solicitation W519TC27QA029 for Rock Island Arsenal–Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center. - Sole-source vendor and OEM: Super Systems Incorporated (SSI), whose proprietary controls and software operate with the existing Super Data System. The original furnace OEM, Unitherm Inc., is no longer in business. - Scope: Upgrade the furnace’s electrical controls and software to communicate with the existing SKADA Super Data System for recording and monitoring; upgrade the flow rack; and provide an updated electrical drawing packet. The upgrade is intended to avoid replacing the entire furnace. - Quantity and delivery: One lot; delivery required by July 15, 2027. Quotes are due November 10, 2026.
