The U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center is seeking HC-130J landing-gear gearbox assemblies from CEF Industries LLC. - Buyer: Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Aviation Logistics Center, Long Range Surveillance Product Line. - OEM: CEF Industries LLC. Named authorized distributors are Dyess Aviation, Inc.; All Clear Aerospace & Defense, Inc.; and Satair USA Inc. - Products requested: Gear Box Assembly, Main Landing Gear (P/N 8521) and Gearbox, Landing (P/N 8348M1), both for the HC-130J. Quantities are not provided. - Notable requirements: The procurement is described as sole-source and firm-fixed-price. Proprietary technical data and aircraft safety and compatibility requirements are cited as reasons competition is precluded.

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.  Solicitation number 70Z03827QH0000001 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).  This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect as of April 27, 2026, in accordance with (IAW) the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO).

The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 336413.  The small business size standard is 1,250 employees. This is an unrestricted requirement.

It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded on a brand name basis to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or OEM authorized distributor as a result of this synopsis/solicitation. Contractors having the expertise and capabilities to provide these items are invited to submit offers in accordance with the requirements stipulated in this solicitation.
