NOAA public meeting to update groundfish stock assessment guidelines

Description

The Groundfish Subcommittee of the Pacific Fishery Management Council’s Scientific and Statistical Committee will hold a public virtual meeting on December 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, or until the day’s business is complete. The meeting will update the Accepted Practices Guidelines for Groundfish Stock Assessments, with recommendations informing the guidelines for 2027 and 2028. No management actions will be decided at the meeting; the subcommittee will develop recommendations for consideration by West Coast groundfish stock assessment scientists.
