The FCC notice concerns reporting obligations for Covered 911 Service Providers, not a purchase solicitation. - Government buyer: Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau. - Reporting requirements: Covered 911 Service Providers must certify implementation of specified reliability best practices or describe alternative measures, and report progress toward Next Generation 911 (NG911) interoperability. - Provider updates: Newly covered providers submit a one-time initial attestation; providers must report material changes and notify the Commission within 60 days after stopping all Covered 911 Service services. - Timing: Initial certifications are due no earlier than 18 months after the Commission announces Office of Management and Budget approval of the information collection. - Procurement scope: No products, purchase quantities, OEMs, or vendors are identified; this is an information-collection notice rather than a procurement opportunity.
