The City of Chesapeake is seeking as-needed mosquito-control pesticides for its Mosquito Control Commission. - Government buyer: City of Chesapeake Purchasing Division, for the Mosquito Control Commission. - OEMs and brands: Valent BioSciences (VectoMax, Vectolex, VectoBac, VectoPrime), Clarke (ReMoa Tri), Central Life Sciences (MetaLarv S-PT), and BVA (BVA 13 Oil). - Estimated annual product quantities: - BVA 13 Oil — 5 drums, 55 gallons each. - ReMoa Tri — 20 drums, 30 gallons each. - MetaLarv S-PT — 50 bags, 40 lb. each. - VectoMax WSP — 15 cases, each with 800 10-gram pouches. - VectoMax FG — 15 bags, 40 lb. each. - Vectolex FG — 30 bags, 40 lb. each. - Vectolex WDG — 5 cases, each with 24 one-pound canisters. - VectoBac 12 AS — 10 cases, each with two 2.5-gallon jugs. - VectoBac WDG — 8 cases, each with 24 one-pound canisters. - VectoPrime FG — 15 bags, 40 lb. each. - Requirements: Products must be EPA-approved for mosquito control and have at least a two-year shelf life in original containers. Adulticides must be labeled for ground and/or aerial ultra-low-volume application. Standard orders are due within five working days; emergency orders within 48 hours. Quantities are estimates, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum. - Potential value and term: Projected value is $450,000 over a one-year initial term with up to four additional one-year renewals.

Description

The City of Chesapeake Mosquito Control Commission is seeking bids from qualified vendors to supply pesticides for adult and larval mosquito control. Products will be ordered on an as-needed indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity basis and must meet the stated EPA approval, labeling, shelf-life, documentation, and delivery requirements. The contract is for one year with four one-year renewal options by mutual written agreement. The projected contract value is $450,000 for the entire contract period, including renewal options.
