Nevada Highway Patrol janitorial services for Fernley and USA Parkway substations

The Nevada Department of Public Safety’s Nevada Highway Patrol is seeking recurring janitorial services for two substations. - Government buyer: Nevada Department of Public Safety, Highway Patrol Division / Nevada Highway Patrol; the RFP identifies the Nevada State Purchasing Division, Department of Administration, as the purchasing office. - Locations: Fernley Substation and USA Parkway Substation in Sparks, Nevada. - Services requested: Routine cleaning of offices, common areas, and restrooms; trash and smoking-receptacle removal; vacuuming and carpet spot cleaning; dusting; restroom supply replenishment; and periodic cleaning of blinds, doors, fixtures, vents, and high areas. Work also includes interior and exterior window washing, hard-floor stripping and waxing, and carpet hot-water extraction or steam cleaning. - Cost schedules show 52 routine visits annually for trash, vacuuming, spot cleaning, and restroom cleaning; 12 monthly dusting visits; four quarterly visits for doors, fixtures, vents, and high areas; two semi-annual visits for windows and hard floors; and one annual carpet-cleaning visit. The schedules apply separately to each location. - Important requirements: Contractor provides cleaning supplies and equipment, including HEPA-filtered vacuums. Bleach and bleach-containing products, strong-aroma cleaners, and air fresheners are prohibited. Personnel entering the buildings must pass required background checks and fingerprinting; the contractor must meet Nevada licensing and insurance requirements. USA Parkway service is suspended during its scheduled remodel. - OEMs and vendors: No product manufacturers, service vendors, or resellers are named in the solicitation materials.

Description

The State of Nevada Highway Patrol is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide janitorial services at the Fernley and USA Parkway NHP substations. Services include scheduled cleaning and maintenance as specified in the Scope of Work, including cleaning offices and restrooms, floors, windows, and other areas. Vendors must sign and return the Scope of Work and arrange for client reference questionnaires from at least three client references to be submitted directly to the State by the deadline. The contract period is March 1, 2027 through February 28, 2031; janitorial service at the USA Parkway site will not be required during its scheduled remodel from December 25, 2026, through early September 2027.
