The U.S. Government Publishing Office is seeking an installed industrial steel shelving system for its Inventory Management Stores in Washington, DC. - Government buyer: U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO), Agency Support Operations / Inventory Management. - Procurement: Furnish and install eight industrial steel shelving units in Room B112, replacing the existing carousel system. - Shelving requirements: Each unit is described as 20 bays of shelving plus two 36-inch-wide bays; units 1–7 require six beam levels, and unit 8 requires five. Shelves must include wire decking, support up to 1,250 lb. each, and have visible load labels. - Units 1–7: 20 bays at 18 in. deep × 48 in. wide × 10 in. high, plus two bays at 18 in. deep × 36 in. wide × 10 in. high. - Unit 8: 20 bays at 18 in. deep × 48 in. wide × 8 in. high, plus two bays at 18 in. deep × 36 in. wide × 8 in. high. - OEMs and vendors: No shelving OEM, manufacturer, vendor, or part number is named in the materials. - Installation service: Contractor provides labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, delivery, assembly, anchoring, and incidental items. Work includes protecting the area, submitting layout drawings for approval before mobilization, and cleanup. - Notable requirements: Work must be completed within 90 days after Notice to Proceed. A site visit is mandatory, and materials and installation must have at least a one-year warranty.

Description

GPO is seeking proposals for the installation of new shelving to replace their current carousels. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidental items necessary to furnish and install a complete shelving system in Inventory Management Stores.
