River Road Outfall Pipe Rehabilitation and Riverbank Restoration

The City of Winnipeg is seeking bids for rehabilitation of the River Road Outfall and adjacent riverbank and sewer work. - Government buyer: City of Winnipeg. - Scope: At 106 River Road Outfall (S-MA70041564), remove about 40.0 m of existing 1200 mm corrugated metal pipe (CMP) and 4.88 m of existing 1050 mm concrete pipe; install about 44.9 m of 1200 mm polymer-coated pipe. - Additional work: Reconnect the concrete pipe with a reinforced concrete collar; provide temporary shoring as required; install two 1200 mm internal slip joints and new geotechnical instrumentation; remove existing instrumentation as required. - Riverbank and site work: Install 32 rockfill columns with 2.44 m diameters and 34 columns with 2.13 m diameters, place rockfill riprap, regrade the riverbank, inspect the sewer, and restore the site. - OEMs and vendors: No pipe or equipment manufacturers are identified. Description

Work at 106 River Road Outfall includes replacing sections of existing pipe with approximately 44.9 m of 1200 mm pipe with polymer coating and reconnecting the existing concrete pipe. The work also includes temporary shoring as required, installation of internal slip joints and geotechnical instrumentation, and installation of rockfill columns and riprap.
