School district seeks firewall, UPS equipment and subscriptions, and managed network services

Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School District is seeking Category 2 network equipment, licensing, and managed services for its school network. - Government buyer: Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School District, Iowa; no sub-agency or office is identified. - Named OEMs: Fortinet for firewall equipment and licensing; American Power Conversion (APC) for UPS subscriptions; and Aruba for the existing network environment that the managed service must support. Equivalent products are permitted where specified. - Products and quantities: Two alternative replacement-firewall license configurations are requested, each for one firewall: one with a three-year license and one with a five-year license. Each must meet or exceed the existing FortiGate 1000D’s performance and interfaces, including at least 1 Gbps throughput, eight 1G RJ45 ports, four 10G SFP+ ports, and remote-access VPN. Also requested are 17 approximately 500VA UPS units, 17 subscriptions for existing UPS units, and one one-year basic-functionality renewal for the existing FortiGate 1000D. - Services: A one-year managed internal broadband service covering 142 applicant-owned devices on 21 lines, across five buildings and serving approximately 2,000 users. Required capabilities include Aruba Central support, 24/7 monitoring and alerting, incident response, troubleshooting, network and performance management, and quarterly reporting. Installation and initial configuration are requested for the new firewall and applicable new components; UPS installation is not requested. - Notable requirements: UPS units must support the network equipment and provide at least 10 minutes of runtime at the stated load. Quotes must identify manufacturer part numbers, separate eligible and ineligible costs, and price advanced firewall security features separately. Equipment must be new, and prohibited FCC Covered List equipment—including Huawei and ZTE products—cannot be proposed. Vendors must provide relevant references and a valid SPIN, and must be authorized E-rate manufacturer partners or agree not to provide grey-market products.

The procurement includes internal connections, including firewall equipment and licensing, UPS/battery backup equipment, license renewals, and managed internal broadband services for applicant-owned equipment.
