Hydrostatic testing for 81 Amerex B674 Wheeled Halotron I fire extinguishers

The U.S. Marine Corps is seeking hydrostatic testing for 81 Amerex wheeled Halotron I fire extinguishers supporting operations at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. - Government buyer: U.S. Marine Corps; the requirement identifies Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, MCAS Iwakuni, and Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Butler. - OEM: Amerex — the named manufacturer of the B674 extinguishers. - Requested items: 81 Amerex B674 main cylinders and 81 discharge hose assemblies, representing 81 extinguisher sets. - Service: Hydrostatic testing, including visual inspection, applicable tests, component tracking, marking, and pass/fail documentation. Failed components must be identified and segregated. - Standards and location: Comply with NFPA 10, CGA C-1 and C-6, and applicable DOT requirements under 49 CFR Part 180. Work is at MCAS Iwakuni or another mutually agreed location. - Scope limits: Repairs, refilling, pressurization, and final reassembly are excluded.

Description

The Regional Contracting Office has a requirement for Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni Japan. The requirement is for Hydrostatic Testing of (81) Amerex B674 Wheeled Haltron I Fire Extinguishers. The performance location of this contract wil take place either aboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni or at a mutally agree upon location.

The start of the performance is set to start on or before January 15, 2027. The performance of the Hydrostatic Testing must be in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 10, Compressed Gas Association (CGA) C-1, CGA C-6, and Department of Transportation (DOT), Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 180.

All offeror must provide their Quotation, Technical Approach, and Relevant Past Performance outlined in 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors found on page 18 of 23 of the solicitation.
