Description of equipment requirements:

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANEOHS) requires continued access to specialized genomic classifier testing used to assess risk of metastasis or metastatic progression in patients with localized or advanced prostate cancer.  Decipher prostate testing is a powerful diagnostic and prognostic tool that assesses risk of prostate cancer progression within the next five years post detection, biopsy or surgical removal.  The test utilizes a genome-wide transcriptome assay to analyze the expression of 22 genes to generate the Decipher score.  Performed on existing tissue samples obtained during biopsy or surgical removal of the prostate, prior to any radiation or hormone therapy. Indicated in localized, N1, or metastatic disease.  Provides the Decipher score based on genomic characteristics of the tumor, independent of clinical and pathological factors. The score, ranging between 0 and 1, reflects tumor aggressiveness.

It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. IAW FAR 5.207 all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that demonstrates the ability to comply with the requirement and that competition would be advantageous to the Government.

The Government will not pay for information submitted. A determination not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
