One Crane-Equipped Ford F-550-Based Water Operations Service Vehicle

The City of San Clemente is seeking one complete, crane-equipped mobile service vehicle for its Water Operations Division. - Government buyer: City of San Clemente, Water Operations Division; Finance and Administrative Services. - Quantity: One new, unused, fully equipped mobile field service unit, based on a Ford F-550 Super Duty Regular Cab 4x4 or approved equal. - OEMs and named equipment: Ford chassis; Stellar (including TMAX), IMT (including Dominator), or Maintainer service body; Vanair (Air N Arc, ALL-IN-ONE, or SansGear) integrated power system; and Auto Crane, Stellar, IMT, Venturo, or PALFINGER hydraulic crane. Approved equivalents are allowed if they meet or exceed the requirements. - Key equipment and capabilities: - Approximately 11-foot crane-rated service body with reinforced structure, lockable weather-resistant compartments, cargo space, and work lighting. - Hydraulic crane with at least 6,000-pound lifting capacity and 20-foot reach, hydraulic extension and rotation, winch, wireless remote, load monitoring, overload protection, and dual hydraulic outriggers. - Integrated power system providing a compressor of at least 125 CFM, 330-amp-peak welder, 10-kW-peak generator, hydraulic power of at least 30 GPM at 2,000 PSI, and 12V/24V battery boost and charging of at least 330-amp peak. - Washdown system with at least a 50-gallon tank, pump, and hose reel with at least 50 feet of hose; vehicle also requires electrical, lighting, and safety equipment. - Vehicle and delivery requirements: The vehicle must meet the stated chassis, emissions, and safety requirements and be delivered assembled, operational, and ready for municipal use, with manuals, warranty information, fluid fills, inspection, testing, system demonstrations, and operator familiarization and training. - Quote inclusions: Include applicable taxes and fees, including tire and sales taxes, delivery, transportation, DMV, and document fees.

Description

The City of San Clemente is requesting quotes for one new 2027 Ford F-550 chassis with a crane-rated service body, or an approved comparable model. The completed vehicle is intended to support Water Operations maintenance, repairs, construction, and emergency response, and includes specified crane, integrated power, water-system, storage, and safety equipment. Detailed requirements are provided in the attached specification; bidders must include all taxes and fees in their quotes.
