Hermosa Beach Citywide Parking Paystation and Streetscape Construction

The City of Hermosa Beach is seeking construction services to install citywide parking paystations and complete related sign, post, sidewalk, and street work. - Government buyer: City of Hermosa Beach, Public Works Department, Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles County, California. - Opportunity: CIP 113, City Wide Multi-Space Meters Deployment (BID 26-006); estimated value is $170,000. - OEM and named products: Flowbird paystations, furnished by the City; the scope also specifies Telespar posts. - Products and quantities: Install 15 Flowbird paystations, 42 new signs, 46 salvaged or City-furnished signs, 39 new Telespar posts, and five 2' x 2' x 4-inch concrete pedestals. - Construction and related work: Remove and dispose of 102 existing posts/poles and foundations and 10 existing Telespar posts; remove, salvage, and deliver 126 signs to the City yard; install 79 EA of cobble pavers, 11 EA of PCC concrete, and 6 EA of asphalt concrete; backfill five holes; and remove existing sidewalk and install 259.5 SF of 4-inch PCC sidewalk. Work also includes striping, concrete panel removal and installation, traffic control, and mobilization/demobilization. - Notable requirements: Contractor must hold a Class A, C-8, or C-45 license. A 10% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bonds are required. Liquidated damages are $1,500, and mobilization/demobilization is capped at 5% of total bid schedule cost. - Performance period: 25 working days.
