Description

The City of Smithville is soliciting sealed bids for siting, licensing, installation, and annual maintenance, including a NADIN connection, for an Automated Weather Observation System III with Present Weather Sensor and Thunder Strike Alert (AWOS III PT) at Smithville-Crawford Municipal Airport. The work includes a new system installation, with siting and licensing as needed, in accordance with the cited FAA advisory circular and order. Bids are due December 3, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., and will then be publicly opened. Each bid must include a 2% bid guarantee; the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each for the full contract amount.
