Maintenance services for three Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks at RAF Welford

The U.S. Air Force is seeking five years of maintenance support for three Mercedes-Benz Actros 6x4 trucks serving the 420th Munitions Squadron at RAF Welford. - Government buyer: U.S. Air Force, 501st Combat Support Wing Regional Contracting Office (501 CSW RCO, FA5570); operating location is RAF Welford. The requirement supports the 420th Munitions Squadron. - OEM: Mercedes-Benz; the vehicles are three 2024 Actros 6x4 trucks, identified as OU24DYC, OU24DYD, and OU24DYB. - Requested service: Comprehensive repair and maintenance for all three trucks, with 12 months of service per truck in the base period and each of four option periods. - Includes scheduled maintenance and inspections, corrective repairs, labor, genuine or approved parts, lubricants and consumables, wear-and-tear replacement, dealer-level diagnostics and software updates, and compliance/MOT inspections. - Also includes roadside assistance and towing, plus vehicle collection and delivery. No mileage limitation is specified. - Notable requirements: Service location must be within 30 miles of RAF Welford. The provider must be an authorized Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle service provider or equivalent. Offers are evaluated on technical approach, including the quality control plan, and price; award is to the lowest-priced conforming offeror. - Period: One base year plus four one-year options, with a possible extension of up to six months. The Government sets the start at award.
