Health Canada is seeking sequencing services for human and mouse research samples across four research programs. - Government buyer: Health Canada, Mechanistic Studies Division (MSD), within its environmental health research bureau; contact named as Wesley (Wes) Phillips. - OEMs and named vendors: Illumina and Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) are the primary sequencing platform manufacturers. The pricing schedule also names New England Biolabs (NEB), Agilent Technologies (SureSelect, Bioanalyzer and TapeStation), Zymo Research, Covaris, Beckman Coulter (AMPure), and Thermo Fisher Scientific (Qubit). - Requested services: Quality control and sequencing of pre-prepared libraries, genomic DNA, and/or RNA from human and mouse samples. Methods include error-corrected next-generation sequencing (ecNGS), whole-genome sequencing (WGS), whole-exome sequencing (WES), RNA sequencing, and PacBio HiFi sequencing. - Platforms and requirements: Illumina NovaSeq/NovaSeq X and MiSeq; PacBio Revio using SPRQ-Nx chemistry. Stated targets include at least 30× WGS depth, 100× mean WES depth across target regions, and 20 million or more RNA-seq reads per sample. Provide raw FASTQ and BAM files securely, with download access for at least 90 days; workflows must be validated. - Pricing-schedule scope: WGS, WES, DNA and RNA library preparation; Illumina MiSeq and NovaSeq X sequencing; PacBio library preparation and Revio sequencing; and sample/library QC and preparation options. Specific configurations and preparation types are detailed in the service line items below. - Research purpose: Support studies of mutagenicity, environmental and occupational exposures, gene expression, cancer risk, and human health risk assessment. - Quantities and part numbers: No sample quantities or product part numbers are specified; multiplexing is determined by project. - Term: Initial contract period with up to four additional one-year options; the described research work extends through the option years.

Health Canada is seeking Illumina and Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) sequencing services for pre-prepared DNA libraries, genomic DNA, and/or RNA from human and mouse samples. The work supports four research projects and includes error-corrected next-generation sequencing, whole-genome sequencing, whole-exome sequencing, and/or RNA sequencing to identify mutations and gene-expression changes. Services will use Illumina or PacBio Revio platforms, with a contract intended to support projects funded through 2030–2031. The RFP states an initial contract term through March 31, 2027, with up to four additional one-year option periods.
