The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking contract operators for the Sheridan VA Medical Center water treatment plant. - Government buyer: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 19 (36C259); contracting officer Barron Long. Work is at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan, Wyoming. - Service requested: Two full-time, on-site water treatment plant operators. Operators cover normal operations from 0600–1430, seven days per week; on-call duty is not required. - Qualifications and duties: Operators must collectively hold Wyoming DEQ Level 2 Water Treatment, Level 1 Water Distribution, and Level 1 Wastewater Collection licenses. Required skills include membrane/ultrafiltration plant operation; potable water testing and chemical control; water distribution and wastewater collection; therapeutic pool and water tower operations; and computer-controlled equipment. - Notable responsibilities: The VA provides plant familiarization training as needed and is responsible for equipment repairs.
