Description

The Town of Whitecourt is treating approximately 19.6 hectares in Block 22 in accordance with FireSmart principles, with funding support from the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA). Work includes mulching, stand thinning and pruning via mastication, targeted removal of dead and down materials, and elimination of ladder fuels to meet FireSmart spacing and stand structure recommendations.
