As-needed plumbing services for the City of Corona Utilities Department

The City of Corona Utilities Department is seeking an on-call plumbing contractor for municipal utility work. - Government buyer: City of Corona, Utilities Department; Purchasing Department. - Procurement: As-needed plumbing services for repair, maintenance, installation, and replacement, including drain and sewer cleaning, video inspection, jetting, smoke leak detection, trenchless repairs, natural gas piping, polypropylene fusing, copper sweating, and regulator installation. - Staffing and response: Contractor must make at least four field plumbers available and provide 24/7 coverage. Emergency calls require acknowledgment within 15 minutes and on-site arrival within one hour; non-emergency calls require acknowledgment within one hour and arrival within 24 hours. - Pricing and delivery: Submit hourly rates for master plumbers, journeymen, and apprentices for straight time, overtime, holiday, and emergency work. Contractor supplies labor, materials, equipment, and mobilization; no travel charges are allowed. Materials and supplies are reimbursed at cost plus 15% markup, and billing is limited to time on site performing City-directed work. - Key qualifications: Valid C-36 plumbing contractor license, prevailing-wage compliance, current California DIR registration, CARB fleet compliance, relevant municipal or public-utility references, and specified insurance coverage. - OEMs and vendors: No product OEMs, named service vendors, or selected contractor are identified. Description

The City of Corona is requesting competitive proposals from qualified contractors to provide plumbing services for its Utilities Department. The detailed project description is in Section IV of the attached RFP. Proposals must be submitted electronically through PlanetBids by December 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
