Secure exterior double-door replacement with specified security hardware and system integration

The Department of the Navy seeks replacement of a secured exterior double door at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, California. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake; project site is Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu. - Work requested: Remove and dispose of the existing door, frame, and obsolete hardware, then install and test one replacement door assembly for Room 2502, Building PM351. Reuse the existing poured-in-place steel frame. - Specified products and OEMs: The new 6080 (6 ft. x 8 ft.) door must be hollow metal, 18-gauge and at least 1 3/4 in. thick, or solid wood of the same dimensions and minimum thickness. Specified products include a GSA-approved LKM10K Type IV lock with X-10 combination lock, Hirsch 8336ABTR000 uTrust TS ScrambleProx CAC reader, Best 7-pin SFIC cylinders, LCN 4040 XP-ALUM closer, and Magnasphere HSS-L2S-011 or HSS-L2S-010 Level 2 High Security Switches. LockSet products are also specified. - Installation requirements: Include interlocking geared continuous hinges, appropriate switch brackets, door/weather seals, and stainless-steel kick plates if the door is wood. Out-swing hinge pins must be non-removable. Reconnect the existing AECS and install and calibrate BMS contacts. - Notable constraints: Installation must be completed in one day, and Room 2502 must remain secure overnight. The installer must be a certified dealer of LockSet and Hirsch products. - Estimated value: Less than $25,000.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial construction services, prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Project Title: PM 351 Security door demo & replacement Project Location: Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), Point Mugu, CA. Magnitude of construction: Less than $25,000

Description: The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract for Security door demo and replacement.  

This acquisition is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
