Granite School District is seeking architectural design teams for school improvements, athletic-field turf replacement, and roof work at district facilities. - Buyer: Granite School District, Department of Purchasing, on behalf of its Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Department; the sample agreement identifies the Director of Architecture, Engineering, & Construction. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, product brands, or design firms are named. DFCM is referenced as a fee-guideline source, not as a vendor. - Category A â Calvin Smith Elementary School: Design an interior and exterior refresh, including flooring, ceilings, millwork, shades, breakroom finishes, parking-lot overlay, marquee sign, lighting, door hardware, stage lighting, intercom, safety and security upgrades, and design for 86 interactive classroom displays. - Category B â Hunter High School: Design removal and disposal of existing synthetic turf, reconstruction of the field base, drainage improvements, installation of new turf, and related appurtenances. - Category C â Partial roof projects: Design gym roof replacement at Evergreen Junior High; roof replacements at the Maintenance Compound Carpentry Shop and Outbuilding; approximately 35,000 square feet of roofing at Cottonwood High; and snow-fence replacement or addition at Silver Hills Elementary. Roof scopes generally include removal of existing membrane and insulation to the deck, new insulation, membrane and flashings, tie-ins, and possible seismic diaphragm upgrades. - Design and delivery services: Schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation, construction administration, cost estimating, value engineering, coordination and reviews, and warranty-phase support as applicable. The sample agreement also describes architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and landscape design services. - Notable requirements: Firms must be licensed and demonstrate at least five years of Kâ12 school design experience. Submissions require project-team information, resumes, and three similar-project references for each category pursued. Insurance and applicable environmental and safety requirements apply. Categories A and B anticipate project-specific selections; Category C anticipates an on-call prequalified pool.
