Jordan Basin Improvement District is seeking qualified integrators to modernize SCADA operations at its wastewater facility and lift stations. - Buyer: Jordan Basin Improvement District, under SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICTS; serving facilities in Salt Lake and Utah counties. - Requested service: Migrate from existing GE iFIX to Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA. The District has already purchased and installed Ignition and Kepware Drivers, so software costs are excluded. - Scope: Integrate about 20,000 tags, build approximately 150 screens and navigation, configure alarms and callouts for about 2,000 tags, and provide database configuration, staff training, communications setup, startup, testing, and project support. Approximately 2,500 tags are to be historized. - Existing and referenced technology: 60 Emerson PLCs using GE Ethernet communications; 10 other devices using MODBUS TCP/IP; GE Proficy Historian hosted on a virtual machine, expected to host Ignition Historian; and Grandstream callout devices with CenturyLink landlines. The District anticipates VOIP or cellular callouts and SMS via an AirLink XR60 or similar device; these are not specified equipment purchases. - Integrator qualifications: At least two Gold-level Ignition-certified integrators, with at least two integrators based in a physical Wasatch Front office; three references for full Ignition wastewater integrations and one for a GE iFIX-to-Ignition migration. - Other named technology providers: Kepware, in addition to the OEMs and vendors noted above. No specific hardware products, quantities, or part numbers are requested.
Description
Jordan Basin Improvement District is seeking proposals from qualified, Ignition-certified integrators to transition its wastewater treatment facility and district-owned lift stations from GE iFIX SCADA to Inductive Automation’s Ignition SCADA. Work includes integrating the existing database, building screens and navigation, configuring alarms and callout systems, and providing staff training and support. Ignition software is already installed and has been purchased by the District, so proposals should cover integration services rather than software costs. The District expects the work to be completed no later than November 30, 2027.
