VA Palo Alto seeks specialized reference laboratory testing services

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking reference laboratory testing for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System’s Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service. - Government buyer: Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21; VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service. - Scope: Firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity services covering 22 specified test and pathology-consult line items, with estimated quantities ranging from 2 to 20 each. An additional attachment describes the requirement broadly as specialized medical laboratory testing, without a separate quantity. - Examples of requested testing: Autoimmune and paraneoplastic evaluations, pathology consultations, genetic testing, amniotic-fluid and tissue cultures, hemophilia A F8 gene sequencing, and von Willebrand disease testing. Individual test codes and quantities are listed below. - Service requirements: Testing is performed at the contractor’s facility. Results are generally due electronically within 7–10 business days. The contractor must maintain applicable CLIA, CAP, and/or Joint Commission credentials and support laboratory information system (LIS) interfacing or fax reporting. - Contract value: Guaranteed minimum of $2,500; maximum aggregate order value of $349,999.99. - Period of performance: One ordering period of approximately one year, with an option to extend services for up to six months.
