The U.S. Secret Service is gathering industry information for maintenance and repair of its protective-equipment truck fleet. - Government buyer: U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Secret Service (USSS), Office of Technical Operations (TEC), Technical Security Division (TSD). - Opportunity: Request for Information (RFI) for fleet maintenance and repair; it supports acquisition planning and is not a solicitation. The effort would consolidate maintenance previously handled through purchase-card transactions; no incumbent is identified. - OEM: Kenworth is the manufacturer of the fleet vehicles. The work requires Kenworth-authorized technicians and OEM diagnostic tools and software to support warranty preservation. - Fleet: Up to 11 Government-owned diesel trucks at Joint Base Andrews: two 2025 Kenworth T-280 box trucks, four 2019 Kenworth T-370 chassis box trucks, one 2026 Kenworth T-280 box truck, and four 2026 Kenworth T-280 A-frame trucks. - Services: Quarterly preventive maintenance, annual DOT inspections, diagnostics, common corrective maintenance, unscheduled repairs, parts, and mobile mechanic response. Work covers vehicle systems including engine, transmission, fuel, emissions, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. - Common repair parts listed: one throttle sensor, one fuel pump, two batteries, two rear air brake bags, one AC compressor, and four front differential leak/gear assemblies. Part numbers are not provided. - Notable requirements: Contractor facility must be within 50 miles of the USSS facility. Written estimates and Contracting Officer Representative approval are required before unscheduled repair work. Vendors are also asked to provide a per-mile towing rate; towing mileage is undetermined. - Pricing information: The pricing template lists $62,500 for unscheduled repairs across the base and option years; this is not stated as the total value of the overall effort.
