Description

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation proposes to modify an APDES discharge authorization for Pacific Seafood Kodiak Near Island and Star of Kodiak facilities. The proposed authorization establishes new mixing zones for ammonia, total residual chlorine, and temperature at outfalls 001D and 001B, discharging to Near Island Channel. The draft authorization and associated documents are available through DEC’s Wastewater Discharge Authorization Program. Written comments are due by December 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. AKST.
