NYSDOT is seeking contractors to clean and document oil-water separators across three service zones in New York’s Region One. - Government buyer: New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), Office of Contract Management, Purchasing Office. - OEMs and vendors: No OEMs, manufacturers, or vendors are named in the solicitation materials. - Scope and quantities: The zones cover 25 oil-water separators total—10 in Zone 1, 8 in Zone 2, and 7 in Zone 3. The pricing worksheet lists sampling, mobilization, standard cleaning, failed-separator cleaning, waste disposal and transportation, and a completion worksheet in each zone. It specifies 2,500 gallons of disposal per zone, or 7,500 gallons total; cleaning tasks are priced by confined-space labor hours. - Service requirements: Inspect and sample separators and sediment tanks; submit samples for TLCP and PCB testing; vacuum and remove wastewater, oil, sediment, grit, and sludge; clean separator interiors and eligible coalescing plates; and document the work with photos and completion worksheets. NYSDOT supplies replacement filters and coalescing plates. - Contractor and disposal requirements: Contractors must provide confined-space-qualified staff and equipment. Waste must go to a permitted facility, with applicable transporter permits, shipping records, weigh tickets, and disposal documentation. A separate confined-space service may be needed if media or plates cannot be replaced during cleaning. - Term and other notable requirements: Three-year base term with up to two additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement. Annual CPI-based adjustments are capped at 5%. Participation goals are 6% SDVOB, 3% MBE, and 1% WBE.
