MoDOT Salt Dome Roof Replacement and Entrance Repairs

MoDOT is soliciting a contractor to replace the roofs on two St. Joseph salt domes and their associated entrance structures. - Government buyer: State of Missouri, Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), Procurement Unit 31-MODOT Transportation. The work includes replacement of up to 30 sheets total of 7/16-inch CDX roof sheathing across both buildings; additional damaged sheathing is priced per sheet and requires proof of the affected areas. - Entrance work: Install high-heat synthetic underlayment, flashing, hidden-fastener metal roofing, and exposed-fastener siding as specified; replace damaged entrance components, including 2x10 rafters, and install 2x6 rafters for scabbing the main roof. - Notable requirements: The owner selects shingle colors from contractor-provided color charts. A site visit is mandatory. No OEMs, manufacturers, vendors, or product part numbers are named; bidders must propose compliant materials. - Performance: Work starts as directed by the Notice to Proceed and runs through final acceptance. Description

MoDOT seeks bids to remove the existing roofing materials, vents, flashing, and entrance fascia from the salt dome structure down to the decking. The contractor will provide and install composite architectural shingles with a manufacturer’s warranty of at least 30 years, ice and water barrier, synthetic underlayment, galvanized flashing, and 750 metal roof vents. Additional items needed to provide a complete, watertight roof system are included. Site-visit attendance is mandatory for bids to be accepted; bidders submitting hard-copy bids must contact the buyer by email at least five business days before bid closing.
