DLA Puget Sound Solicitation for 10 Custom Parker Hannifin Gearboxes

DLA Maritime – Puget Sound is seeking 10 custom Parker Hannifin gearboxes for shipboard replacement. - Government buyer: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), including DLA Maritime – Puget Sound Contracting Division and DLA Weapons Support Puget Sound. - OEM and vendor: Parker Hannifin is the gearbox manufacturer. Olympus Controls is named in the solicitation with its product number; it is not identified as the manufacturer. - Product requested: 10 custom high-precision inline helical planetary gearboxes, PS Series. - Manufacturer part number: CG-PS90-050-90582. - Olympus Controls product number: 1100533671. - Custom configuration: PS90-050-S2, stainless steel screws, black anodizing, no lubrication (L02), and a through-hole output shaft. - Notable requirements: Gearboxes are designed for a host ship to NAVSEA requirements and must directly replace installed equipment while meeting form, fit, and function requirements. The procurement materials identify the design and modifications as proprietary to Parker Hannifin and include a sole-source justification. - Delivery and quote details: Urgent delivery is requested, with differing delivery targets stated in the attached documents. FOB destination is Bremerton, Washington. Quotes should identify the manufacturer and country of manufacture and include delivery information and a signed, completed solicitation. NIST SP 800-171 requirements apply when relevant, with an exemption stated for qualifying COTS items.

To be considered for award, if the contractor (awardee) is required to implement NIST SP 800-171, the contractor (awardee) shall have a current assessment as detailed in DFARS 252.204-7019 (I.E., not more than 3 years old unless a lesser time is specified in the solicitation)

Items deemed to be Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) are exempt from NIST SP 800-171 requirement.  Must identify and provide information to contracting officer on bid during solicitation period
