The Navy intends to establish a BPA for KAron liner work on F/A-18 nose landing gear steering collars, with ordering through individual service calls. - Opportunity and buyer - The notice is a pre-solicitation/intent to award, not an award or a request for competitive quotes. The buyer is Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), Naval Air Station North Island, under the Department of the Navy and NAVAIR. - COMFRC intends a sole-source BPA with Kamatics Corporation, identified as the KAron OEM and the only source with the required proprietary technical data and expertise. The notice says Kamatics personnel must perform modifications or repairs. - Work requested - Apply the KAron liner profile and finish-machine liners on government-owned F/A-18E/F/G nose landing gear steering collars, then inspect and certify the work. - Record and provide inside-dimension measurements, provide required documentation, package completed collars, and ship them back. Work is performed off-site. - Supported Safran part numbers are 74A430612-1009 and 74A430612-1007. These identify the supported government-furnished parts; the notice provides no service quantities, and order quantities are non-binding estimates issued through individual BPA calls. - Requirements and deliverables - The draft PWS requires the contractor to be a NAVAIR- and Boeing-approved source. The notice also describes the planned award as sole-source to Kamatics. - Submit a Certificate of Compliance/Conformance (CDRL A001) under PWS Section 6.5 and a Contract Field Service Report (CDRL A002) under Section 7.4.1.1. Submit both within five business days after completing services. - The field report must include applicable equipment discrepancies that could prevent the equipment from meeting original manufacturer standards, recommended services, and follow-on service recommendations. - Term and value - Initial ordering period: 12 months from award, with up to nine additional 12-month extensions, for a maximum potential duration of 120 months. No award date is specified. - The notice does not provide an estimated contract value, guaranteed quantity, or specific part number for the KAron liner itself. - Other-source submissions - Although the Government intends a sole-source award, the notice states that other responsible sources may submit capability information for Government consideration. No submission deadline is provided in the supplied information.
