Regina Public Library is seeking a centralized automated materials handling system for its Operations Centre, with a configured sorting layout and ongoing support. - Buyer: Regina Public Library (RPL), with Jeff Demitor, Director, Digital Service Innovation, identified as the contact. - System: One centralized automated materials handling (AMH) system, including hardware and software, with approximately 50 sorting destinations: 12 for SILS blue totes, 1 for RPL grey totes, 33–34 flexible bin/tote destinations, and 3–4 oversized exception-bin destinations. - Compatibility and workflow requirements: Accommodate RPL’s existing Kingsley 50 Series rolling bins and grey and SILS blue totes; support barcode and RFID container manifests; include two staff inductions and two auto unloaders; and automatically apply holds and transit slips. The system must provide operational status and alerts. If existing bins are incompatible, compatible bins must be included in the base proposal. - Named product/vendor: Optional additional Kingsley 50 Series aluminum alloy rolling bins, Product #70272001, are identified as available through Brodart Canada. RPL is interested in about 50 additional bins, potentially bringing the fleet to approximately 80; proposed alternatives must have materially similar dimensions and equal or better usability, and work with the sorter and returns cabinetry. - Optional equipment: Additional oversized exception bins; lift table, sort-point tote stackers, tote dollies, and other logistics supports; a tote-weight solution; and a compressor if the proposed system requires one and RPL’s existing compressor is insufficient. Quantities and specifications for these options are to be proposed where applicable. - Services: Design, manufacture, delivery, installation, setup, commissioning, warranty, software licensing, maintenance, and support. Support must address normal-business-hours and emergency needs, provide timely on-site assistance when required, and include a preventative-maintenance schedule with supplier and RPL responsibilities. - OEMs: No AMH system manufacturer or system part number is specified. Kingsley is identified as the existing bin product line; Brodart Canada is named in connection with those bins. - Term and proposal expectations: Price ongoing software licensing, support, and maintenance for an initial five-year period and provide guidance for later years. Respondents must propose the project timeline and warranty period.
